Please feel free to join us Sunday morning May 28th for Re-Creation in concert, service starts at 10:30am.
On Sunday, May 21, FBC will be holding our annual “Be the Church Sunday.” Our focus this year is going to be projects that require face-to-face interaction with our community and foster relationships as a result. These projects are wide ranging in scope and offer everyone something that they can be a part of. There will also be nursery for children through age 2 at the church if you’d like to go out in the community and leave your little one behind. Come join us on May 21 while we spread these acts of kindness throughout our community!
Our church yard sale will be held May 19, 20, and 21. All proceeds benefit missions. If you have donations, please drop at the church before the 19th. If you know of a family who could benefit from this, please contact the church office.
VBS 2017 is just around the corner!
Imagine a world where curious kids become hands-on inventors who discover they’re lovingly crafted by God.
FBC invites all inventors, big and small, to join us for an awesome adventure you won’t want to miss! This year’s VBS runs from Sunday, July 16th-Thursday, July 20th, 5:45-8pm each night. Dinner will be provided PRIOR to VBS Monday-Thursday from 5-5:30pm, with the last meal being served at 5:30. No food will be provided on Sunday.
VBS participants must be at least age 3 by July 1 and potty-trained. There will be special activities each night for those entering the 6th-8th grades as well.
Please take the time to preregister so that we can be prepared with supplies and food. Be sure to note any allergies your child has. If your child has epi-pens, we ask that you send them along each night to be held at the registration table in case of an emergency.
Sound Wave Sing & Play
Gear up for the day’s adventure by singing fun songs and meeting “inventor” Ian!
Kids experience each Bible story with all five senses, and then circle up with Cave Crews for thought-provoking discussions.
Kids watch films about real kids in the real world living out their faith in really cool ways reminding all of them that no matter what happens, God’s power will pull them through.
Imaginations soar as kids experiment with Sciency-Fun Gizmos that connect to that day’s Bible Point.
Kids run, jump, and even splash through games that connect with the daily Bible Point.
Each day wraps up at Funshop Finale. Crews gather for loads of fun-filled, surprising, audience-involving activities and object lessons that reinforce the daily Bible Point.
Meaningful Missions: Each year, we partner with our very own Kathy Jacobs & Pure Joy Missions to provide shoes and socks to over 100 children in Guatemala! Every year, we buy new shoes for these kiddos to keep their feet protected! Honduran Soles will also be joining us in our efforts this year!
Thanks to the help of many, this project became a reality! Check out some photos of the children receiving their new shoes! Thank you so much for your generosity!
Come celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior!
Maundy Thursday Service will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 7pm.
Prayer Vigil will take place from Friday, April 14th-Sunday, April 16th.
Easter Sunday services include Sunday School for all ages at 9am and Worship at 10:30am.
Our Annual Easter Prayer Vigil began as a tradition in 1975. Each year from 3:00pm on Good Friday until 6:00am on Easter Sunday, the church becomes a place of constant prayer to ‘keep watch’ during the time between the crucifixion and the resurrection. The sanctuary is transformed into a beautiful garden.
Members and friends sign up for a one-half hour time slot in order to offer prayers to God. Prayers can be in any form of communication with the Lord.
If you are interested in signing up, keep an eye out for signs in the Narthex. If you’d like to learn more, please contact Jan Swartz or Tom Morgan.
Families traveled back in time to discover that Jesus is alive! At each Destination, families experienced powerful moments that surrounded the death and resurrection of Jesus.
