First Baptist Church welcomes Re-Creation on Sunday, July 7 at 10:30am! They will be presenting their sacred program.

The Re-Creation sacred program is structured with a sensitive presentation of an enduring faith in the Christian message. The group’s remarkable blending of voices, tasteful apparel, and dynamic presentation contribute to a unique and memorable worship experience.

The public is invited to attend the concert. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be received.

Saturday, April 13th @ 2pm

We invite you to join us as we hear powerful, eye-witness accounts of Jesus’ crucifixion.

Please arrive between 1:30 and 3:00 to begin your 40 minute journey. The first journey will begin at 2:00, and new groups will begin every 10 minutes. Light refreshments and fellowship will be provided.

Maundy Thursday service will be held Thursday, April 18th at 7pm.

If your children are not yet old enough to join a Young Adult Bible Study, then these studies are for you! Due to a deep desire to build relationships within and between families who are going through the same “walks of life,” we are holding two separate studies this fall.

The Art of Marriage

We meet two Mondays of each month from 6:15-7:15pm beginning February 4th.

God can turn any marriage into a masterpiece.

Every marriage is unique, expressed by the colorful personalities of each spouse and textured by the circumstances at play in their lives. Blending these to make marriage work is a divinely inspired art form — challenging to master but definitely worth the effort.

In The Art of Marriage, we weave together expert teaching, engaging stories, man-on-the-street interviews, humorous vignettes and much more to portray the hope and beauty of God’s design for marriage, and now the same great content is available in a six-week study format. The Art of Marriage small-group series topics include:

• Love Happens: God’s Purpose and Plan
• Love Fades: Overcoming Isolation
• Love Dances: Fulfilling Our Responsibilities
• Love Interrupted: Communication and Conflict
• Love Sizzles: Experiencing Real Intimacy

Young Adult Bible Study

Making Space: Doing What Matters Most

2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 7-8pm beginning September 27^th

This study gleans wisdom from the Book of Proverbs and from the example of Jesus to show you how to center your life on God’s priorities. Each week’s session will function as a stand-alone message, providing great opportunities to invite friends and engage in conversations about a given topic through the week. Topics include: Wisdom, Finances, Rest, Prayer and Bible Study, Heart, Friendship, Family, and Hospitality.

Join us on December 8th at 5pm for our annual Christmas dinner, followed by Re-Creation in concert.

Please arrive between 4:30-4:45pm to get your seats!

Saturday, June 30th 

We will be meeting at the corner of the Orthopedic Building at the rear of the Evan campus, which is at the corner of Loan Road and JPM Road, across from the walking trail.

Fireworks are scheduled for DUSK the evening of Saturday, June 30th. Tailgating will begin at 7 pm. (in order to save our spot!)
